Magdalene Candies and Confections came to SME with a brief to help launch their new brand in Whole Foods.

Handcrafted in Portland, Oregon, these candied citrus peel treats covered in chocolate were truly the inspiration for the logo. With some clean and contemporary typography, paired with bright colors to allude to the products citrusy sweet taste there is just enough going on here to draw people in. The main graphic, an abstract illustration of a citrus slice, is complimented by the twirled ampersand meant to look like a curly citrus peel.
